Dr Kevin Pankhurst is a General Adult Psychiatrist, who has extensive experience providing assessment and treatment for a broad range of psychiatric complaints. He has 15 years experience as a psychiatrist and has worked in both the community and inpatient/acute services.
Dr Pankhurst strongly believes in a holistic approach to care and adopts a combination of psychological, biological and social approaches in his practice. His main focus is establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with his patients and encouraging active participation in their treatment plan. He provides supportive counselling in managing personal circumstances and building self resilience, which are an integral part in the process of healing and recovery. Where necessary he prescribes medication in accordance with the latest effective outcomes.
