As many media campaigns hep reduce the stigma of talking about mental health is this compounding the pressure on services and contributing to a shortage of mental health services?

Provision

This is an interesting article which looks at health service provision from a broadly political and administrative angle. One should hesitate to criticise individual political parties as no one has exactly excelled here. But long term planning and policy is required. It takes at least 11 years to train a psychiatrist from scratch, after all.

Increased Awareness

As we become more aware of the importance of good mental health, the NHS is struggling to cope with the surge in demand. If you are insured, or even if not, it is worth considering whether your health is worth the wait. Here at the Cardinal Clinic we have psychiatrists and therapists who can help you within days.

Please note; to access our services a GP referral is required.
