Christmas Closure
Cardinal Clinic is closed over the Christmas and New Year period, and we are not taking new referrals at present. Our waiting list is also closed. Please check our website for further updates that will be posted in due course. We should like to take this opportunity of wishing everyone a merry and peaceful Christmas.
We will be manning our phones between 8am and 8pm over the Christmas period to support existing patients.

Depending on your individual needs, we recommend whether this is then delivered as either a day patient, out-patient or in-patient. We’re with you every step of the way as you take your journey to recovery.

We know how difficult an eating disorder is to overcome. At Cardinal we are proud to have a successful track record when treating eating disorders through in-patient care and our day care programme.
Anxiety & Depression
Rated ‘Outstanding’ for care and overall ‘Good’ by the CQC, we offer personalised care plans developed by leading psychiatrists in the anxiety and depression field who are supported by a team of psychologists and nurses.
Addictions
We are proud to offer a wide range of treatments for alcohol, substance and behavioural addictions, which are tailored to individual needs. We also offer fully medically supervised detoxes within our facility.
As a private mental health hospital we accept patients via a GP referral or welcome patients who prefer to refer themselves.
GP referral process
We have a dedicated referrals coordinator who will be your point of contact if you need to refer a patient to us. We will dovetail our service to your surgery’s requirements and ensure a streamlined process.
Self referral process
We are happy if you would like to refer yourself or a friend / family member for care. Just click here and complete the form. We’ll be in touch to arrange an appointment.
Insured patients
We recognise all major health insurers. We are used to dealing with funding authorisations on behalf of patients so you can focus on your recovery.
Self-funding patients
We welcome patients who are funding their own treatment either personally or through their employer. We provide clear information about costs to ensure you are comfortable with the expense.
