OVERVIEW:

A group for people with a diagnosis of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. The group will provide psychoeducation and experiential exercises, in a supportive environment where you are with people who are having similar difficulties to yourself.  This course is relevant for people with a diagnosis of OCD.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

 

Aim: 
  • Understand bipolar disorder
  • Understand treatment strategies that can be used to manage bipolar disorder
  • Begin to explore and use treatment strategies
  • Share experiences of Bipolar
 Inclusion Criteria:
  • Have a diagnosis of Bipolar Mood Disorder (Bipolar I or Bipolar II)
  • Able to reflect on the experience of their illness
  • Would like to work on strategies to help manage the illness
  • Willing to work in a group
Course Content:

Week 1:   Introduction and understanding Bipolar

Week 2:   Early detection of Bipolar

Week 3:   Living with Bipolar

Week 4:   Cognitive symptoms and Bipolar

Week 5:   Behavioural symptoms and Bipolar

Week 6:   Relapse prevention
