Effective Mental Health Support When Its Needed

We recognise that mental ill-health within your team is not only an issue for the person concerned. It can also impact greatly on the rest of the team, the manager and the HR and occupational health departments.  We believe our Mental Health Manager can support you in managing this impact.

Helping them access the right treatment can be time consuming to and can result in long delays before they receive the appropriate clinical treatment. Delays in seeing their GP coupled with long waiting lists for therapy only add to the distress and pressure for the individual and their team.

Cardinal Corporate was set up to help HR and occupational health teams manage mental ill-health issues more efficiently and ensure patients get access to the very best clinical treatment in as short a timeframe as possible.

At the heart of our service are our Mental Health Managers. They are assigned to our clients to work with them to help them access advice, treatment and education relating to mental wellbeing.

They will develop an understanding of your business, your processes and your people to ensure they provide a service which is bespoke to your organisation.

Your Mental Health Manager

Your Mental Health Manager is the single point of contact for all aspects of mental health wellbeing in your organisation.  They can provide support in the following ways:

Accessing Advice

The Mental Health Manager can liaise with our clinical team to provide specific advice about a member of your team.  This may be advice about a ‘Return to Work’ plan, recommendations for managing an employee who is experiencing mental ill-health or wider support on organisational issues.

The Mental Health Manager will discuss your concerns with the best qualified clinician and provide feedback to you directly.

Accessing Education

As one of our Cardinal Corporate Partners, you receive preferential access to our complimentary education programme.  You will receive invitations to appropriate courses and workshops through your Mental Health Manager.

If you feel more in depth training would benefit your organisation, these can be discussed and booked through your Mental Health Manager.  They will provide you with details of our standard courses or liaise with you to create a bespoke package.

Accessing Treatment

The Mental Health Manager is the first point of contact if you feel one of your colleagues needs some clinical support for mental ill-health.  They will coordinate an initial assessment with a psychiatrist, liaise with insurers where required and involve you on the recommended clinical plan.

Throughout treatment, you will be kept informed of progress (subject to patient confidentiality agreement).

Following treatment, a ‘Return to Work’ plan will be agreed and discussed with you.

Rapid Referral Service

It is well understood that rapid access to treatment for employees with mental ill-health is critical to the outcomes for the individual, the wellbeing of their team and the financial implications for the organisation.

We have made delivering this the cornerstone of the Cardinal Corporate business.

Education and Training

Through our education and traing programme, we aim to reduce the occurrence of poor mental health by up-skilling the HR teams, line managers and staff members in managing the mental health within the organisation.

The adage that “prevention is better than cure” is something we believe to be critical.

Insurance and Fees

We believe that transparency in our fee structure is important.  As part of our process for on-boarding new Cardinal Corporate Partners, we will agree a rate card of fees for all clinical services.

Alternatively, we have agreements with all major health insurance providers and can liaise with them directly, if your staff have this cover.
