Louise Watson is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist specialising in Adult Mental Health, Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness based behavioural therapies (ACT, CFT and DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), undertaking both short-term and long-term work with patients.
She has special interests in anxiety, trauma including childhood abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), body focussed repetitive behaviours (BFRBs), and low self esteem.

Training & Experience
Louise Watson initially gained her masters degree in Psychology at Cambridge University in 1995 . She then worked for a number of years as strategic change consultant for a major City institution. In 2007, she then returned to psychology and gained her Chartered Counselling Psychologist status at Roehampton University.
She has training and experience in cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic and systemic approaches and is trained (stage 1) in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
She also runs psycho-educational groups on self esteem, anxiety management and depression at the Clinic.
Although not currently working in the NHS, Louise has several years of experience working in GP practices, and currently has a private practice in Wokingham.
