About Luke Curran

As a Psychological Support Worker at Cardinal Clinic, Luke strives to create a safe, rewarding and recovery-based environment for all patients. He uses an empathetic, person-centred approach to recognise the realities of the past, yet help patients look ahead to the future, whilst feeling valued and understood.

He holds an extensive academic background, with an MSc in Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology, and a BSc in Psychology with Neuroscience. As a holder of a further qualification in Mental Health First Aid, he also specialises in helping individuals cope with acute mental health crises. These academic qualifications are supplemented by lived mental health experience, and time spent volunteering with a diverse array of individuals, from those living with dementia, to disadvatanged children growing up in challenging environments. This has all helped to inform his belief in the power of psychologically informed care, and his drive to put every patient’s unique needs first.
