How we can help

There are different ways we can help, some people come for one hour to see their Psychologist or for a group meeting. Others stay in one of our en suite bedrooms so they can take advantage of full day intensive treatments.

If you decide you would like Cardinal Clinic to help, we advise you to contact your GP and ask for a referral letter addressed to Trudy Green, Referral Manager. If you are worried about what to say to your GP or how to say it, call us and we can talk you through what you should say so that they understand how you are feeling.

Our Services

Expertise to deal with all aspects of psychiatric and psychological difficulties

Some patients may need a more structured or intense approach to their treatment or need to be away from everyday situations that are contributing to their condition. In-patients have their own individual bedroom, some single and some double, all with an en-suite bathroom.

Day-patients attend the Clinic for a combination of full or half days and also take part in the group programme. Each day is structured differently and patients are advised which days would be the most beneficial for them to attend. Lunch and dinner is provided for those attending for a full day.

Many of our patients come to the Clinic as an out-patient. Patients come to the Clinic for individual appointments with their consultant, psychologist, psychotherapist or therapist. We are able to offer evening and weekend appointments as well as day-time ones, helping those with busy work and family commitments.

The Clinic offers a number of routes to treatment: Out-Patient, Day-Patient and In-Patient, depending on the patient’s needs. The Clinic makes sure their patients are seen by the most appropriate specialist to ensure the quickest and healthiest recovery.

As well as treating adults, the Clinic has a specialist team available to help with problems such as rituals, bullying and problems at school. The team consists of Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists and Psychologists.

If you are unsure about treatment, you are welcome to call and make an appointment to look round and talk to a member of the nursing team who will be happy to advise on the next steps.
