Saumya Rao

Saumya is a psychotherapist registered with the BACP, passionate about advocating for more accessible mental healthcare. Her experience providing therapy in multiple charities, community services and social welfare settings has given her the opportunity to support people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She has also worked as a counsellor for children and young people with various SEND needs. 

Saumya believes in empowering clients, fostering healing, and creating a warm, culturally sensitive, and non-judgemental space where they feel safe enough to process meaningful experiences and explore life's challenges. She believes therapy is a collaborative process, and she works alongside clients to build on their strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. She is committed to prioritising safeguarding and trauma-informed care to ensure her approach is both sensitive and effective.
