Participants will explore the impact of psychiatric conditions and medications on sleep, alongside current approaches to assessing and managing insomnia, including emerging treatment options such as dual orexin receptor antagonists (DORAs).

Join Neurologist Dr Oliver Bernath for an evidence-based CPD session exploring the assessment and management of common sleep disorders in mental health. This event will examine normal sleep physiology, the spectrum of sleep disorders, the relationship between sleep and psychiatric conditions, and the impact of psychotropic medications on sleep.

The session will also explore evidence-based approaches to the assessment and treatment of insomnia, including behavioural and pharmacological interventions, alongside an overview of emerging therapies such as dual orexin receptor antagonists (DORAs), supported by practical clinical discussion.
