ADHD Assessment

Our ADHD Assessment

Cardinal Clinic offers a comprehensive adult ADHD assessment conducted by a consultant psychiatrist with specialist expertise in ADHD. The assessment typically takes 2-3 hours and may be spread over two sessions.

What the Assessment Includes

The assessment includes: a comprehensive clinical interview exploring current symptoms, childhood history, and impact on daily functioning; validated standardised rating scales (Conners, DIVA-5); cognitive and attentional testing; and, where available and appropriate, collateral information from a partner, family member, or colleague.

Preparing for Your Assessment

Before your assessment, we will send you questionnaires to complete. It is helpful to bring school reports or other evidence from childhood if available. If someone who knew you as a child (a parent, sibling) is willing to provide information, this can be very helpful.

After Diagnosis

If ADHD is confirmed, your consultant will discuss a management plan including medication options, ADHD coaching, and CBT adapted for ADHD. We provide a detailed written report that you can share with your GP, employer, or educational institution.
