Initial Assessment
Your initial assessment is a structured conversation with a senior clinician, designed to understand your situation properly: what you are experiencing, how long it has been going on, what has and has not helped in the past, and what your goals are. It typically lasts 45-60 minutes.
Consultant Psychiatric Assessment
If appropriate, you will be offered a full psychiatric assessment with one of our consultant psychiatrists. This is a comprehensive evaluation lasting 60-90 minutes, covering your symptoms, mental state, psychiatric history, medical history, family history, and social circumstances.
Psychological Assessment
Our clinical psychologists offer specialist psychological assessments, including cognitive and neuropsychological testing for conditions such as ADHD and autism, personality assessments, and detailed formulation of complex presentations.
After the Assessment
Following your assessment, you will receive a written summary of our findings and recommendations, including the recommended level of care, likely duration of treatment, and costs. If we do not believe we are the right service for your needs, we will tell you honestly and suggest more appropriate alternatives.
