Inpatient & Residential Treatment

What Is Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment provides 24/7 clinical care in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. It is the most intensive level of care we offer and is appropriate for patients whose conditions are too severe or complex to be managed on an outpatient or day care basis.

The Environment

Cardinal Clinic is set in beautiful grounds in Windsor, Berkshire. Our residential patients have access to private or shared en-suite rooms, communal lounges, a dining room, gardens, an indoor swimming pool, and therapy rooms. The environment is designed to feel welcoming and non-institutional.

The Programme

Residential patients follow a structured daily programme including individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric consultations, psychoeducation, wellbeing activities, and free time. The programme is tailored to each patient's individual treatment plan and reviewed regularly.

Length of Stay

Length of stay varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual's progress. Typical stays range from 4-12 weeks. Your consultant will discuss a realistic timeline during your assessment.

Family Involvement

We encourage appropriate family involvement in treatment. Family therapy sessions, family education groups, and regular visiting hours are part of our residential programme.
