Our Medical Director
Jane Perera is one of Cardinal Clinic’s leading psychiatrists and has held the post of Medical Director for the last 10 years. She is passionate about delivering outstanding and safe medical care to our patients. She is proud to be leading a team of 20 consultant psychiatrists who share her ethos and commitment to patients.
Meet Kavita
Our Director of Psychological Services
Kavita Deepak-Knights is Cardinal Clinic’s Director of Psychological Services. She has worked with Cardinal Clinic for around 20 years, stepping up to lead the psychology team in 2021. Kavita has published papers on eating disorders in the journal of the Eating Disorders Association. and in the British Journal of Clinical Psychology.
Meet Sarah
Our Matron
Sarah Kaiser has been Cardinal Clinic’s Matron for around 10 years. She leads the team of nurses who provide care for our in-patients and day care patients. Sarah’s role is to ensure our patients receive outstanding care and is passionate about improving their outcomes and experiences.

Anxiety
Where the anxiety is having a significant detrimental impact on well-being, a multi-disciplinary approach is often recommended. A psychiatrist will normally provide an initial assessment and discuss a care plan with you. This may include both medication and psychological therapies with a therapist.
Depression
At Cardinal Clinic you will be assessed by a consultant psychiatrist who will make a diagnosis and discuss a care plan with you. You may be prescribed anti-depressant medication to relieve the symptoms and address the chemical imbalance in the brain as well as psychological therapy to understand the reasons for the feelings.
OCD
Cardinal Clinic has extensive experience in the treatment of OCD and offers a full assessment and individually tailored treatment plan. During therapy you will look to understand the reasons for the compulsions and to learn to treat the OCD.

Situated in a private estate in the heart of Windsor’s green belt, residential in-patient care, day care and out-patient services are offered.
Cardinal Clinic is a private hospital. Our patients fund their care through a health insurance policy or by self-funding.
- In-patient care room rates range from £905-£960 per night.
- Day care starts at £530 per day.
- Outpatient fees range from £150-£300 per appointment.
We are recognised by all the major insurance companies, we also welcome self-payers and accept payment by cash, cheque or credit card.
This does depend on which consultant you see. Usually, we can offer an initial appointment within 7-10 days. However, if your GP feels you should be seen as an emergency we will endeavour to offer you an earlier appointment, sometimes the same day.
