Overview
Dr Jenna Richards is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children, adolescents, and families. She works with children and young people presenting with a range of problems including anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalised anxiety disorders and phobias; low mood and depression; and emotional dysregulation and self-harm .
Jenna is trained to carry out Autism assessments using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).
Jenna draws from a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Systemic Therapy.

Dr Jenna Richards qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013, having studied at Canterbury Christ Church University. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents and families. Prior to and since qualification she has worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services as a Principal Clinical Psychologist.
Dr Jenna Richards has worked with children and their families with a full range of presenting problems including social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalised anxiety disorders, phobias, low mood, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and neurodevelopmental presentations. As well at those who struggle with school attendance, peer relationships, sleep difficulties, family/systemic difficulties, behavioural challenges and eating problems.
Dr Jenna Richards offers psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic treatment. She also carries out diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).
Dr Jenna Richards offers psychological therapy to children and their families, drawing from a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and family therapy. In 2019 she completed a postgraduate certificate in supervision for children and young people services in CBT making her eligible for accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).
Dr Jenna Richards offers supervision, clinical consultation and is involved in service transformation projects within the NHS.
