Overview
Dr Malarvizhi Babu Sandilyan, a Consultant Psychiatrist since 2013, has worked in a variety of inpatient and community settings.
She specialises in older adults and has experience in treating mental health conditions specific to later life and cognitive disorders.
She currently works as consultant psychiatrist at Reading Older Adults’ Community Mental Health Team, Berkshire.

Training & Experience
Malar graduated from Chennai, India and completed her specialist training in the East of England. She then pursued higher specialist training in geriatric psychiatry in Cambridge and Institute of Psychiatry, London.
She holds two Diploma’s including Geriatric Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians, Legal Medicine from the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine, Royal College of Physicians.
