Julia Foskett

Overview

Julia Foskett has worked in the NHS as a Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health for the past 25 years. This involved being part of a skilled Multi-Disciplinary Team and working with families and young people presenting with a range of emotional issues and diagnoses.

Before that Julia worked in Adult Mental Health and has continued this area of expertise in the private sector for the past 15 years. Julia supports couples with relationship difficulties and families where there may have been trauma, mental health issues or breakdown in relationships. This has given Julia a wealth of experience to draw on to develop a supportive and collaborative relationship with families and individuals seeking to find change and manage a range of challenges that might be impacting on them.

Julia draws on the relationship rapport in the room to share narratives that have shaped people’s lives and to discover new ways for clients to create different futures. De-stigmatising mental health and drawing on client’s strengths and personal resources are key values in the work.
