At the Cardinal Clinic, we understand that mental health requires a holistic and structured approach to treatment. The in-patient service is carefully designed to provide a nurturing environment away from daily stressors.  This blog post offers a comprehensive insight into the structured timetable that forms the backbone of our therapeutic program. Our timetable is composed of different parts which all fit in together to ensure the best mental health recovery and support.

The timetable includes a mix of psychoeducation sessions and relaxation groups. These foundational sessions aim to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate your mental health journey.

Thoughts and Feelings

Understanding and managing difficult thoughts and emotions is a crucial aspect of your recovery journey. The Compassionate Mind and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills groups are tailored to provide practical techniques to handle complex emotions effectively. These sessions empower you with the skills needed to foster emotional stability and mental well-being.

Building and maintaining healthy relationships, effective communication, and emotion control are vital aspects of your overall well-being. The mood management and Assertion groups are designed to provide you with the tools and strategies needed to navigate social interactions with confidence and grace.

Creative

Our timetable also includes creative sessions such as flower arranging and art therapy. Engaging in creative classes plays a pivotal role in mental health recovery, providing a therapeutic outlet for self-expression.

Relaxation

While knowledge is essential, we also recognise the importance of balance. Our relaxation groups, which include Yoga and Mindfulness sessions, offer proven techniques to ground you and guide you towards a state of presence and centeredness. The relaxation groups, such as Yoga are typically at the start of the day to improve mental clarity and reduce stress and anxiety.

At Cardinal Clinic, our in-patient timetable is not just a schedule; it’s a carefully curated journey towards healing and self-discovery. We believe that a structured approach, combined with compassion and balance, forms the foundation of effective mental health treatment.

By participating in our therapeutic program, you’re taking a significant step towards nurturing your mental well-being and achieving a more fulfilling and balanced life. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
