Sitting at home under occupied and lost in your thoughts is just about the worst thing you can do if you suffer from depression or anxiety.  Anything that gets you out of the house and being active are positive steps – going for a walk; going to the park; visiting friends will all help. It can be difficult to find the motivation to do any of these things though. Therefore any activity that promotes these behaviours is to be encouraged- even something like Pokémon Go. The message is – if it interests and motivates you then do it, whatever it is. It’ll surely help.
